Fully compatible with the normal Thomas Wooden Railway System, the Talking Railway range of products brings the world of Thomas & Friends to life like never before.

With its built-in engine recognition technology, each Talking Railway Series character activates personalised greetings from Sir Topham Hatt at the special Talking Railway Series Destinations.

Hear Sir Topham Hatt recognise the engines by name..."Rosie, you are right on time!" and "Hello, Percy" or "Thomas, you must stop at the red signal."

The more Talking Railway Destinations and Engines you add, the more interactive your world becomes!

The Range of Talking Railway products will be expanded over time, and Thomas to You will endeavour to offer the widest range of products including items that are not on general release in the UK.

Please Note: The destinations will only recognise the special Talking Railway vehicles, not the normal trains. Standard Wooden Railway System trains will trigger non-personalised messaged as opposed to the personal greetings that the Talking Railway Series engines will receive.

If you are considering purchasing an engine and it is available in the Talking Railway range, it may be advisable to purchase the Talking Railway version so that, if in future you purchase special Talking Railway destinations, your train will not require replacement.

ALSO NOTE: The "Talking Railway Series" is so called because the Destinations talk to trains. The trains do not talk.

Sir Topham Hatt's personalised greetings are activated by Talking Railway engines passing over the sensor. Pressing down on the office roof makes him appear and speak and disappear again.

Engines pull up at either end of the Brendam Barrel Company. Pull the lever to release the barrel onto the barrel ramp. Tilt the barrel ramp to slide the barrel into the waiting barrel car.
