After some 30 years of bringing joy to thousands (perhaps millions) of children, the Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway system has, it seems, been discontinued.

Having thrived under Learning Curve, RC2, Tomy (and Brio), it sadly did not fit in with Mattel's cheap plastic view of the world. Mattel took back the rights to Thomas Wooden Railway in 2013 and have systematically reduced what was a fabulous array of educational characters, destinations and playsets to leave just a bare skeleton, which they have discontinued altogether.

Thomas to You has specialised in bringing the fantastic wooden railway system to customers for over 20 years. The wooden railway system was a classic children's toy (be it Thomas, Brio or Chuggington - yes they are all compatible!) and we were happy to focus on sourcing the widest choice of Thomas Wooden Railway toys for our customers.

Mattel (Fisher Price) will be continuing to offer their plastic trains and track but, as this is not the quality multi-generational product that we have enjoyed providing, Thomas to You will not be offering these so will be winding down (unless/until Mattel recognise their stupidity).

We have done our best to source whatever stock we could find at reasonable prices. We are offering them in the shop, but anticipate that when we run out of a product we will struggle to find any more. If you were thinking of buying a gift for a young engineer who likes Thomas we would suggest you do so now rather than later.

We do not anticipate having much stock left by December so will be closing the website from 2nd December until Boxing Day.
